Latest Android beta version 2.17.163

This latest “Switch” feature is found in the latest Android beta version 2.17.163. A new button for this feature will be included in the WhatsApp Messaging app, according to the released Whatsapp Info report.

Immediate Access

With that button, users will have access to switching between video & voice calls even without disconnecting the call. The option to reject incoming video calls is also linked.

New feature for video calls

Earlier, Whatsapp tested a new feature for group voicemails and video calls at its recent V 2.17.70 beta for its iPhone users. That feature is expected to roll out next year(2018).

It is noteworthy that WhatsApp users can only do one of the voicemails or video call at a time. This feature (voice to video call) is more likely to become popular among Whatsapp users.

A dedicated application for iPad

Meanwhile, WhatsApp is involved in a dedicated application for Apple iPad. WhatsappBetaInfo(@WABetaInfo) has tweeted that they found the latest version of the desktop application.

However, WhatsApp does not have an exclusive app for iPad or client-like application such as WhatsApp Web.
