Change Apple ID Payment Information on iPhone, iPad, and iTunes
You need to change the details of credit card associated with Apple ID & iTunes if you discard your current credit card and have got a new one. You need to follow one of the two methods listed below to make necessary edits in your iPhone/iPad or on iTunes using PC/Mac if you have switched to another credit card.

How to Change Apple ID Payment Method on iPhone, iPad, and iTunes
- Open Settings app on your iPhone/iPad and Scroll down and click on iTunes & App Stores.
- Click on your Apple ID
- A three options menu appears on the screen like View Apple ID, Sign Out, iForgot.
- Click on View Apple ID
- System prompts you to enter your Apple ID password. You’ll be landed on Account Settings screen once if you entered the password.
- Click on Payment Information.
- You can make necessary changes or remove the payment method on this screen. Click on None to remove payment method. You won’t be able to see Payment Information as it’s visible only to the family organizer if you are using Family Sharing who can change or update necessary payment information. Nevertheless, in many cases, iTunes Store may take some time to authorize the change in payment method. This is just to verify the updated account information.
You can use your Mac or Windows PC to change credit card associated with iTunes/Apple ID.
- Open iTunes on your Mac/Windows PC. Tap on Sign In, then enter your Apple ID and Password. Tap on your Name.
- A drop-down menu appears.
- Tap on Account Info option.
- You should enter your Apple ID and Password.
- You’ll be landed on Account Information page once you enter the details. You’ll see Payment Information below your Apple ID.
- Tap on Edit button next to your credit card number.
- You can change or remove necessary information. Tap on None to remove payment method.
- Tap on Done.
- To authorize the change in payment method, iTunes may take some time. This is just to verify the updated account information.
