Galaxy S8 Without Bixby

Samsung Galaxy Bixby

Samsung has recently announced the launch of its flagships – Galaxy S8 and S8+, which have its Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 processor, display as some of their highlights. Apart from these, it includes the new voice assistant, Bixby. Bixby is a smart voice-powered digital assistant of South Korean smartphone maker had designed. And they said that this would debut on the new flagship smartphone Galaxy S8.

During the launch event, Samsung mentioned that both the smartphones will be designed to have a separate button for Bixby which comes with a voice command feature. And now some latest reports have spotted that there may not be the voice command feature in the Bixby. Samsung is apparently skipping the voice command feature in the Bixby.

Samsung has not yet given any reason for the delay of the voice command feature in the Galaxy S8 smartphone. Samsung in a report states, “Key features of Bixby, including Vision, Home, and Reminder will be available with the global launch of the Samsung Galaxy S8 on April 21.”

Bob O’Donnell, an analyst and consultant with Technalysis Research told AFP that, “It’s not talking yet.” This clearly indicates that Samsung’s Bixby needs a lot more to be worked on further. The Bixby voice command feature being one of the key highlights of the voice assistant, it may not be working properly as of now. Anyhow, Samsung is still working on it to give the best of its work. Bob further states, “They have room to expand and grow.”

Since they think that have time to have this feature on the smartphone, they will work on it. And they state that this feature will be available on the Galaxy S8 after this spring.

Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ were launched on March 29, are expected to roll out shipping by the end of this month and may be on April 21, but without the voice command features in Bixby.
