Sweet Potato Fry Recipe
Sweet potatoes are rich in nutrients with fewer calories and have various health benefits. They include antioxidant nutrients, anti-inflammatory nutrients, Potential Improvement of Blood Sugar Regulation, and many other potential health benefits. Let us get into the process of making sweet potato fry.
Ingredients required :
- Two large sweet potato
- Sea salt
- Freshly ground black pepper
- Sweet smoked paprika
- Olive oil
Materials required :
- A peeler (if you need)
- A sharp chef’s knife
- A cutting board
- A large baking sheet (not pictured)
Step 1 :
Preheat the oven to 200ºC/400ºF. Clean 2 large sweet potatoes cold water, scrubbing well with a scrubber to get rid of any dirt or mud(since it is a root vegetable). In particular, there’s no need to peel off the skin of the sweet potatoes.
Step 2 :
Cut each sweet potato in half lengthways, cut each half in half lengthways, then each piece in half again so you end up with 8 wedges.
Step 3 :
Put them in a large mixing bowl, sprinkle over it, a pinch of sea salt and black pepper, and ½ a teaspoon of sweet smoked paprika.
Step 4 :
Drizzle with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, then toss everything together to mix up well.
Step 5 :
Spread out into a single layer on a large baking sheet/tray. Then, bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until golden color and cooked through.
Step 6 :
Leave it for a couple of minutes (this will make it easier to remove them from the baking tray), then transfer them to a serving plate.
Now, Sweet potato fry is ready to be served. you can eat them with tomato sauce or ketchup.
