Sweet Potato fry

Sweet potatoes are rich in nutrients with fewer calories and have various health benefits. Ingredients required :

  1. Two large sweet potato
  2. Sea salt
  3. Freshly ground black pepper
  4. Sweet smoked paprika
  5. Olive oilSweet Potato fry

Materials required :

  1. A peeler (if you need)
  2. A sharp chef’s knife
  3. A cutting board
  4. A large baking sheet (not pictured)

Step 1 :

Preheat the oven to 200ºC/400ºF. Clean 2 large sweet potatoes cold water, scrubbing well with a scrubber to get rid of any dirt or mud(since it is a root vegetable). In particular, there’s no need to peel off the skin of the sweet potatoes.

Cut each sweet potato in half lengthways, cut each half in half lengthways, then each piece in half again so you end up with 8 wedges.

Step 3 :

Put them in a large mixing bowl, sprinkle over it, a pinch of sea salt and black pepper, and ½ a teaspoon of sweet smoked paprika.

Step 4 :

Drizzle with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, then toss everything together to mix up well.

Spread out into a single layer on a large baking sheet/tray. Then, bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until golden color and cooked through.

Leave it for a couple of minutes (this will make it easier to remove them from the baking tray), then transfer them to a serving plate.
