Bubble Tea Recipe

Bubble Tea is a healthy homemade tea. There are different varieties of tea everyone will have their own taste and flavor. Some of them are healthy, some are tasty, and so on. Let us get into the classic bubble tea recipe. Generally, when we talk about bubble tea, we have in mind the following.

  • Tea base
  • Sweetener
  • Some type of cream or milk
  • Fruit juice
  • Some type of “bubble”, such as tapioca balls.

And now let us see the classic and green tea versions of the bubble tea. As both the classic and green tea version is similar in preparation, let us first get into the ingredients of both of these and followed by the process to prepare it.

Ingredients Required for classic bubble tea:

  • Black tea – 2 bags
  • Hot water – 1 cup
  • Sweetener (maybe honey) – 2 tablespoons
  • Ice
  • Cream, coconut milk, or milk of choice – ¼ cup
  • Juice of your choice (mango, raspberry, apricot, or other very flavorful juice) – ¼ cup
  • Tapioca balls – 3-4 tablespoons

Ingredients Required Green Tea with Fruity Kombucha:

The green tea version has included with it, fruity kombucha instead of juice and stevia for a lower carb version.

  • Jasmine green tea – 2 bags
  • hot water – 1 cup
  • Stevia to taste
  • Coconut milk, cream/milk of choice – ¼ cup
  • Fruity kombucha – ½ cup
  • Tapioca balls – 3-4 tablespoons

Procedure for classic and green tea versions:

  1. Brew tea bags in hot water. Squeeze tea bags between two spoons into a cup and remove. Stir in sweetener of choice and milk.
  2. Fill a glass with ice, and pour over hot tea mixture.
  3. Top with juice or kombucha.
  4. Add 3-4 tablespoons of bubble tea ingredients of choice (pick from these ones here). Top with whipped cream, if desired.
  5. Serve with a bubble tea straw or a spoon.
