Earlier, an introduction to a smartwatch for children in which there were no much added features, whereas now Xiaomi’s ecosystem partner, Huami in China has introduced their first Smartwatch called “Amazfit” for adults.

Amazfit smartwatch is equipped with Global Positioning System (GPS). GPS is a radio navigation system that allows the users to determine their exact location, velocity and time, irrespective of the weather conditions, anywhere in the world. Tracking can be easier from any distance with GPS.

Since September 2015, Xiaomi has been offering wearables in the Amazfit line, with the smartwatch becoming the latest addition to the series. The Amazfit watch doesn’t run Android Wear, but Xiaomi says that it interfaces with the Mi Fit app for showing activity and usage statistics.

The Amazfit resembles the Motorola’s Moto 360 Sport to some extent. This watch features a round dial showing off on the front and surrounding with a thick ceramic bezel, a scratch resistant material. At the back of it, is also designed on-board to continuously monitor the heart-rate of the user. It has a 1.34 inch display with 300 x 300 pixels resolution.

The Amazfit is built with 1.2 GHz processor, 512 MB RAM and 4 GB internal storage. It comes with 280 mAh battery with 5 days backup and if the GPS is Switched ON, then the battery backup will be between 30-35 hours. Amazfit, a certified IP67, is dust and water resistant.

This latest GPS enabled Smartwatch, Amazfit launched in China is priced very aggressively, with the watch slated to go on sale, as is the case with all other Xiaomi products, it costs CNY 799 ($120). Xiaomi has engaged a deal with Alibaba to bring the AliPay digital wallet to the watch.
