Pixel is the name that Google has been used in the past for consumer hardware products that represented an overall premium experience. Many of us are well-known about the Nexus. Google, since 2010, aiming to bring out the best of Android, had partnered closely with mobile handset partners around the world. Through Nexus, the goal was to work with these various partners to push the boundaries of what’s possible with a smartphone. Now Google decided to take the next step and provide the best of its experience, by bringing hardware and software design together in a single device.

Design and Features :

The Pixel has a more premium design with a glass-covered back and polished aluminum casing. It will be among the first smartphones to include Google’s new Google Assistant, an app like Siri will be activated when the home button is long-pressed.

It has a 3.5 mm headphone jack. The corners of the phone are cut carefully and the edges are rounded so as to obtain an easy grip of the phone. Pixel is available in three colors, namely, Black, Blue and Silver.


Display :

The Pixel has a 5-inch screen, while the larger model will include a 5.5-inch display. A 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 4 is used on the front display and a back glass to accent the aerospace grade aluminum body. The glass on the back also features Pixel Imprint, our fingerprint sensor, which is placed on the back of the phone where your finger expects it. You can even swipe it to access your notifications.

The Pixel comes with Google Duo and Allo pre-installed so you can video call and text with all your friends, whether they’re on Android or iOS.

Google Assistant :

Pixel is the first phone ever which has been designed with the Google Assistant. Assistant helps in having a conversation with the Google. By simply pressing and holding on the home button, you can start your conversation. You can just ask for a brief update the day or can ask to send a video.

Camera :

The Pixel camera is not only the best smartphone camera that’s ever made, but it’s the highest rated smartphone camera. Pixel puts cutting-edge computational photography in an easy-to-use and ultra-fast camera.

Pixel has a 12.3 MP camera, featuring an f/2.0 aperture and big 1.55 micron pixels to capture lots and lots of light. Our team of photography gurus and image processing experts have spent the last year designing and tirelessly optimizing our entire camera stack.

Pixel’s camera lets you take stunning photos in any light whether it is low or bright light. Catch action shots as they happen with Smart-burst. This takes a rapid-fire sequence of shots and automatically selects the best one. Use Lens Blur to achieve shallow depth of field and bokeh effects, making your subject pop. You can capture dramatic landscapes or make faces glow with new exposure controls.

Storage :

The storage capacity of Pixels is to its extremes. It supports unlimited storage of photos and videos. That’s 4k videos can be backed up in 4k. This is one of the features that everyone look for. Because of the love for storing memories and recollecting them in a later time, storage helps a lot. Some like to pass their journey watching videos for which this is an apt phone.

Battery Life :

One of the most important feature that people look for is its battery life. They expect the battery charge to last for the whole day. Pixel has a quick charging capability that enables the battery to lasts for up to seven hours with taking only 15 minutes to charge the battery. You can charge it during your breakfast. Isn’t this an amazing thing that it takes only 15 minutes for the battery to recharge and walks along with us until the day ends.
