Google Pixel XL
Google Pixel XL is the larger version of the Google Pixel with no change in its specifications except the screen is 5.5 inches whereas the Pixel’s is 5 inches and long lasting battery. It’s a big, powerful and promises the best camera of the smartphone. It is also available to pre-order now in the US and the UK directly from Google. And is expected to open for pre-order on October 20 in India.
Google Pixel XL represents that the company has taken full control of the handset development process for the first time. Pixel XL Google’s next own brand phablet. Its price starts from $769, £719, AU$1,269.
Design :
The Pixel XL is a blend of aluminum and polished glass, striking a two-tone form factor in black, silver or blue. That puts it in line with flagships like the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge – so make no mistake, this is a truly premium smartphone. The Pixel XL also has a rear fingerprint sensor.
Features :
The Pixel XL debuts the Qualcomm 821 processor in the US and the UK. Since the true world’s first, the Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe, hasn’t launched in the West yet. That’s going to be a fast chip to rival Samsung’s flagship Exynos processor, especially as it’s paired with 4 GB of RAM. They come in two sizes: 32 GB and 128 GB. Unfortunately, 256 GB model is not available and no micro SD card slot, but Google is offering unlimited storage for photos at their original size through Google Photos, only for Pixel phone users.
The Google Pixel XL uses the reversible USB Type-C charging port as the Nexus 6P used from last year. Of course, it has a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
One of the biggest selling points of the Pixel XL could rise from its software rather than its hardware. The phone runs Android 7.1 Nougat and promises for the updates from day one to new versions of Android.
It also has Google Assistant built in similar to the Pixel. It supports the new Daydream VR platform.
Display :
It has 5.5-inch AMOLED display is pin sharp at 1440 x 2560, up from just 1080p on the standard Google Pixel.
Camera :
Google is promising the best camera on this smartphone. We’ve heard big camera promises before from the company but its products don’t always live up to them. Its features a 12.3 MP camera with 1.55 microns and a f/2.0 aperture, while an 8 MP snapper as its front camera. The camera is designed mostly to reach our expectations that it has 4K video recording as well as a LED flash, face detection software and auto-focus tech.
Battery Life :
The Pixel XL consists of a 3,450mAh battery. Battery life is a perk of going with the bigger Pixel XL since the normal-sized Pixel has a 2,770mAh battery capacity. You’ll be able to juice the phone up quickly too, as it supports fast charging which takes only 15 minutes. And it can hold its battery charge until the end of the day. So you can enjoy your day with full of fun with music, snaps, videos and much more.
