Savory Tomato Bisque
Tomato is the primary ingredient in any tomato soup. Generally, soups are very healthy and tasty too. They are delicious when they are served hot. This Savory Tomato Bisque is a very delicious recipe. It is an easy process to be prepared by yourself at home.

- Finely chopped fresh tomatoes – 2 cups
- Finely chopped celery – 2 stalks
- Finely chopped onion – 1/4 cup
- Basil (rub the basil between your palms to bring out the flavor) – 1/4 to 1/2 tsp.
- Honey – 2 Tablespoons
- Vegetable stock or water – 1 cup
- Butter or margarine – 1/4 cup
- Flour – 3 Tablespoons
- Milk – 3 cups
Step 1 : Take a soup pot and put the chopped tomatoes, celery, onion, basil, and honey. Add vegetable stock or water and mix thoroughly.
Step 2 : Heat the mixture for 20 to 25 minutes in low flame.
Step 3 : Sieve the mixture (it helps to put it in a blender first or use an immersion blender).
Step 4 : Set this aside and melt butter or margarine in a saucepan. Add flour to the mixture and blend until smooth.
Step 5 : Add 2 cups of milk slowly and stir until thickened for 5 minutes. Stir over low heat, adding the last cup of milk. Do not boil. Season to taste.
Take this Tomato Bisque to serves 4 to 5 cups.
