Panasonic P55 Max
Panasonic P55 Max is the only smartphone with 5000mAh battery in the price range of Rs.8,499. Users who wants to use smartphones with the best battery life, they will find this the flagship. The specifications which you get with the smartphone are 5.5 inch HD display with 720 x 1280 pixel resolution, Android 7.0 Nougat, dual SIM along with the 5,000 mAh battery capacity are found to be the best. The flagship was designed with a metal frame and a removable plastic back panel.
The smartphone is powered by Mediatek MT6737 with Quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex A53 processor. It features a 3 GB of RAM and 13GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot expandable upto 128 GB. But the camera might not be a perfect one since the rear is 16MP and the front camera is 5MP which is not apt to compete with the other smartphones’ camera being released in the recent times. It supports 4G, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS connections.
Design and Features:
Panasonic P55 Max is a smartphone designed with 5.5-inch HD LCD IPS display with a resolution of 720 x 1280. As in all other smartphones with the front camera, there sits a 5MP selfie camera just above the screen. On the right side of the phone’s bezel, there is a volume up and down button and power button. Inside the removable cover at the back, there is two micro SIM slots and microSD card slot. Top of the back panel, a quad LED flash and a 16MP camera is designed. On the middle of the back panel, there is the logo of the Panasonic.
On the top side of the bezel, micro USB and a 3.5mm audio jack and the below are for the speaker and a mic. The navigation buttons are adjusted on the screen instead of below the screen. It is spared empty with nothing over that space. This forms the overall design of the Panasonic P55 Max smartphone.
Display and Screen:
Panasonic P55 Max is packed with a 5.5-inch HD LCD IPS display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. There exists an adaptive screen brightness that can alter by itself according to the atmosphere and its brightness. This screen display is said to be bright and sharp that provides a good view in all angles. This type of display gives an acceptable visibility even under the bright and strong sunlight. It even allows reading a text under this brightness.
This screen will be good enough for three persons to watch a video on this display and would result in a reasonably good view. The display comprises onscreen navigation buttons that will appear while operating the smartphone. Overall, the display seems completely bright and sharp in both indoor and outdoor.
Hardware:
The Panasonic P55 Max is powered by Android 7.0 Nougat Operating System and MediaTek MT6737 chip-set clocked at 1.2 GHz and paired with Mali T720 GPU. The smartphone comes with 3GB RAM and 16GB internal memory, expandable up to 128 GB. The OTG supports in the smartphone enhances your storage options. Moreover, it comes with ZigPlay, a cool feature that keeps all your priorities at your fingertips with simple to use profiles. It also keeps you connected on the go in every place like at home, in the car, at work and anywhere you go.
The P55 Max works smoothly for a daily usage of calls, emails, social media apps and multimedia consumption. But the hardware doesn’t support or is not apt for gaming. There is no fingerprint sensor for this flagship as it is a common feature that is expected and is also present in almost all the smartphones being released in the recent times.
Camera:
The Panasonic P55 max has a 13MP rear camera that will help you capture good pictures with auto-focus and a 5MP selfie camera with fixed focus at the front. The camera feature on the P55 Max enhances the photography. There is a lot of features in the camera app that includes ISO control, scene mode, and White balance control. The images taken with this camera are good in daylight but are average in low light.
The camera can be used in three different modes which are Normal, Panorama, and face beauty.
Performance:
The interface Panasonic P55 MAX is quick with no discernible lag creeping in. The screen is responsive too. The thing which we liked personally is that the Panasonic hasn’t added any extra software layer that most of the times hamper the user experience. The handsets run on latest version of stock Android to give smooth lag free mobile user experience. We used the phone for more than three weeks and enjoy several games and did multitasking as well. We played several high-graphics intensive games on it including WWE, NFS, Asphalt 8 Airborne and Mortal combat, etc. The phone manages all the games without any major problem or heat but we not going to recommend it to heavy gamers. Even while switching between them there was no glitch.
Battery Life:
Here we come to the most important part of any electronic device on which the working of the device depends. It packs a 5,000mAh which is the best part of this smartphone and can last for 2 days completely even if Wi-Fi or GPS or the data connection is turned ON continuously. But the flaw about the battery of this mobile is that it takes more time to recharge its battery.
It is a removable Li-ion battery which is found to be the phone’s best feature under the price range of Rs.10,000. It is proved that the charge in the mobile lasted for a half day when played videos in full brightness and high volume with the Wi-Fi. But the phone is not fit for playing games.
