As a standalone series, Apple Music picks up Carpool Karaoke

Apple Music picks up Carpool

Apple Music picks up Carpool Karaoke, there is something that I didn’t expect, those Carpool Karaoke segments on James Corden’s Late. Late Show is changed into a standalone show that is picked up by Apple Music.

Apple will be airing 16 episodes one on each week and they are available worldwide through its subscription music service, As stated by a number of stories in the Hollywood press. Neither the host nor the  premiere date that is probably won’t be Corden has been announced.

This doesn’t look quite as weird at the time you remember Apple has been ramping up investments into original video content including a new reality show called Planet of the Apps. Same Time, Lip Sync Battle segments from Jimmy Fallon’s. Tonight Show has been spun out into a show of their own on Spike.

Carpool Karaoke is compulsorily Corden’s breakout hit, especially online. Example, a segment with a surprise guest Michelle Obama has 32 million views on YouTube after less than a week.

Update : An Apple spokesperson announced me including the statement from Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Internet Software and Services:

We love music, and Carpool Karaoke celebrates it in a fun and unique way that is a hit with audiences of all ages. It’s a perfect fit for Apple Music that brings subscribers exclusive access to their favorite artists and celebrities who come along for the ride.
