A Password Lock in WhatsApp
Many times we feel like having a password to our Whatsapp to secure it. But unfortunately, it’s not provided with any default feature to set a Password Lock for Whatsapp in the app. This makes Whatsapp insecure and anyone can see your chats if others are using your smartphone. Don’t let you down for not having this feature on your mobile. Here is how to add a password in Whatsapp. You can protect your Whatsapp from others keeping it a password.
Below are the steps to add a password on WhatsApp:
Step 1: Go to the Google Play Store on your android device.
Step 2: Search for the app called CM Security and install it on your android device.
Step 3: After installing, open the app (CM Security).
Step 4: Tap on the lock icon shown on the top of the screen.
Step 5: Click on the checkbox shown next to WhatsApp to select it. Then click on Protect button shown at the bottom.
Step 6: It will ask you to set the new unlock pattern. Set the pattern as you like.
Step 7: Again confirm the same pattern.
Step 8: Tap on Done button.
Once you click on Done button, the pattern security password will be added in WhatsApp. Whenever you open your WhatsApp, it will ask you to provide the pattern password.
Not only Whatsapp can be secured and protected, you can also add a password to all other apps available in your device. For this, you have to select the checkbox shown next to the apps similarly as you selected for WhatsApp.
If you don’t want a security password to lock your Whatsapp or other apps, you can remove your password. Removing password is as simple as adding a password to the app.
Step 1: Tap on CM Security app and then tap on the lock icon.
Step 2: Draw the same pattern which you created to add a password in WhatsApp.
Step 3: Tap on WhatsApp will show the lock icon as unlocked. This means that you have successfully unlocked the password from WhatsApp.
Similarly, if you don’t wish to add a password to the other apps, you can follow the same process to remove the password from those apps too. Set a Password Lock for Whatsapp and maintain your privacy.
