Default Contact Method in iOS10
If you have a contact in your mobile containing multiple emails or mobile numbers home, cell phone and say for work. When you search for a contact, it’s easy to lose track of which number bubbles up to the top. You can point out that you can set up a default number. The default number itself simplifies this. The iOS10 done this for easier access.
This process is a bit convoluted. The first time you click a blue icon in the new contacts field in iOS10, if you are having many contact methods listed. It may be the messages, email icon or call. iOS asks you which one you want to use. The selected one becomes the default.
When you select one then it also initiates a text, call, or email. So get ready to cancel it out if you try to set the default. Once the default is selected, it may be the one that autofill when you go to compose a new message.
Modifying this for something such as an email address, where you might have several for one person is extremely helpful. Especially on using an iCloud email, that is if iOS insists, they never use as a default for someone.
