Instagram has now released its most important updates with very good features. We know that messages can be shared on Instagram. This feature is available for both Android and iPhone users. Once this is introduced, you can filter unread and starred messages. Here’s how to use this star feature and filter in Instagram messages.
How to Star Messages on Instagram
We always like to mark the special messages with the star. By doing so, we indicate that the messages are unique and important. Star tagged messages can easily be separated from others. Once a message has been starred, you can easily filter by using the new feature. The following procedures are as follows.
Step # 1
Open the Instagram app, click the DM (direct message) icon in its right corner with arrow type icon.
Step # 2
A popup list will appear if you press and hold the message for few seconds. Click on Star icon in it.
You can even mark the message in your conversation (Chat). You can open the conversation and click on the Star icon on top of it. You can delete in the same procedure to remove the star. The procedure is as follows

How to filter Instagram messages?
You have learned how to star the Instagram messages and delete it. Now you can see how to make a message filter. The feature of this filter will help you see a starred and unreadable message. The procedure is as follows
Step # 1
Open the Instagram app, click the DM (direct message) icon in its right corner with arrow type icon.
Step # 2
You can see the new filter icon near the search bar. You can choose the type of message you want to filter. Its 3 types of Inbox Message, Unread Message and Star Message.
You can view all the messages through Inbox message filter type. You can also see all Star tag messages using Star Message. You can also see all unread messages as an unread message filter.
