AirPods Are Losing Battery Life Quickly

Apple’s new AirPods have features like it is ultra-portable and great sound. It offers easy access to Siri. But the battery life of this earphones became the only flaw for this device. This flaw has disturbed the company’s new earphones in the recent days. As first reported by MacRumors, users on Reddit have been reporting large drops in battery life for the earphones. It was as much as 30% overnight. The problem seems that the earphones aren’t powering down when placed in the case. Instead, they remain connected to the user’s iPhone or other devices. This continuing to drain battery from both the device and earphones.
Now, one Reddit user seems to found a potential fix for these issues. The fix is as simple as resetting the AirPods. Unfortunately, it is working for some, but not all. If you’re having the same battery problems with your earphones, try attempting the below fixes. But it’s not a perfect solution for this problem.
How to reset your AirPods:
For many, you can fix battery issues with AirPods by resetting them. You can follow the below steps to reset your earphones:
1. Press and hold the setup button for at least 15 seconds until the status light starts flashing amber a few times. Then it will flash white.
2. Reconnect your earphones to all your devices. (If you set up the double tap to pause function, you’ll have to setup that again).
If the AirPods still continue to have problems, you may want to try fully draining both your case and earphones before recharging. If your battery issue remained the same even after both a reset and full drain/recharge, It’s better to contact Apple Support.
