Hike brings payments, news, and messaging to basic Android phones without mobile data
Hike has introduced a much-anticipated Total service, which is said to be very useful for people. From March 1, this app will be available in the Intex and Karbonn smartphones and in mobile network providers such as Airtel, Aircel, and BSNL. They announced that the Hike Total service will be offered to the Indian smartphones Index Aqua Lions N1, Aqua Lions T1, Aqua Lions T1-Lite and Karbon A40, which will start from Rs 1. As it is operating with USSD-based technology, it can run all services including messaging. This Hike Total service can be used to read the news, send messages, recharge, cricket status, payments, and to know train information. To use various features in Hike Total service, 100KB to 1MB data is required.
By banding together with several Indian handset manufacturers, Hike has installed UTP into the Android to take into consideration a user experience over the previously mentioned services that feels like any advanced application that uses the internet, while simply depending on the USSD protocol that doesn’t charge user anything.
