The unit is designed for TVs 47-inches or larger. The system looks better and even great with a 50-inch plasma. When the system is switched ON, the soundbar and subwoofer will automatically pair together wirelessly. Though the satellites still need to be plugged into the subwoofer. These included speaker wires are nice and long and offer flexible distance options. This will allow you to place the subwoofer in the front of the room. It also includes an ARC-capable HDMI in and HDMI out connection on this model. This addition to VIZIO has made things even easier for users to achieve the best quality audio from their devices.

The previous version of VIZIO SB4051-C0 soundbar models has some pleasing aesthetic improvements to which users are familiar with. The all-black design was mostly used in the 2014 lineup. It certainly got the job done and was just fine. The SB4501 features simple and attractive matte silver caps and black grills on all of its components. This gave the system a sleek and modern appearance. On the back of the soundbar were a row of buttons for Volume, Bluetooth Pairing, Input, and Power across the back top for easy access.

Satellite Speakers And Subwoofer:

The satellite speakers measure just 5.9 x 3 x 3-inches (HWD) and weigh a very light 1.6 lbs. Each satellite uses 2 x 2.5-inches Full-Range Drivers. The included wireless subwoofer provides placement flexibility and is designed to deliver deep bass tones for music and movies. The wireless subwoofer measures 10 x 9.7 x 9.7 (HWD) inches and weighs 12.5 lbs. The subwoofer features a 6-inches Long Throw (High Excursion) Driver. It is rated for a clear line of sight wireless range of 60ft. Together, the entire system has a sound pressure level of 102 dB. The Total Harmonic Distortion is less than 1%.

The speaker offers native support for standard (not lossless) Dolby Digital and DTS sound decoding. The Dolby Digital is an audio standard for cinema, broadcast, DVD, Blu-ray, and streaming content. It provides spatial dimension to soundtracks and enhanced audio definition for an engaging listening experience. Along with which DTS Circle Surround for 5.1 matrices, and Bluetooth with aptX technology for playback from mobile devices are included. A Night Mode decreases the subwoofer activity. If the PlayStation systems were switched to PCM, the soundbar no longer recognizes the satellites during surround sound speaker tests. Instead, the rear channels simply played through the front soundbar unit. All regular content seemed to be matrixed using DTS Circle Surround. The DTS TruSurround delivers immersive and detailed virtual surround sound without the need for rear speakers.

Remote Control:

Vizio SB4051-C0

This modern version of the VIZIO SB4051-C0 soundbar has a few visual changes. But the remote control is essentially the same as before. The remote offers a black and white LCD display for menu selection. It consists of a functional button layout with essentials like Power, Input, Volume, and Playback options. Various settings can be adjusted for more options with the help of the Menu button and cycling through the LCD. These options include individual speaker levels, treble, bass, a Night mode, and DTS TruVolume. This DTS TruVolume is designed to provide a consistent volume level for your audio sources.

When selections are made on the remote, a row of LED indicators on the front left side of the soundbar will light up based on volume, level, and mode changes. Unfortunately, like the previous model, the screen on the remote is not backlit. This makes viewing the display difficult or almost impossible in low light situations. This proved to be more satisfying to watch movies in the dark to seem like a home theater.

The SB4051 really shines switching between a variety of Blu-ray discs and streaming material. The system remains clear and complete. Whereas the satellites present a genuine surround sound experience. The system is capable of going loud without introducing much distortion. Most users will rarely need to increase the volume more than halfway, leaving a lot more power left to tap if ever necessary.

The SB4051 provides very solid music reproduction as well. Beyond Bluetooth and connected devices, a USB port is also included directly on the soundbar. This has support for WAV audio playback from thumb drives. The surround satellites and three-channel soundbar unit works together. By its working, the SB4051 created a totally immersive soundstage that disproved its small size. This feature of the Vizio SB4051-C0 fully gets us involved into its atmosphere.

Finally, the Vizio SB4051-C0 has a strong performance in terms of gaming, movie, and music. The 5.1 Channel Soundbar System proves to be a versatile and immersive compact surround sound solution. Simply to say, it’s a perfect package of a more casual home theater that occupies less space.
